How to Determine Your Golf Cart Voltage
1. Lift the seat of your golf cart to access the battery compartment.
2. Count the number of caps (holes) on one of the batteries.
• Most golf cart batteries have 3, 4, or 6 caps.
• Each cap represents one cell, and each cell produces 2 volts.
3. Calculate the voltage of a single battery:
• Multiply the number of caps by 2.
— Example: 3 caps × 2 volts = 6V battery
4. Determine the system voltage:
• Multiply the voltage of one battery by the total number of batteries.
